GAME BOARD AND PIECES
Inside the box you will find:
A) Game Board
B) Game Pieces
All the Game Pieces are placed on the Game Board. Game Pieces include Football Players or Player Pieces, yard markers, Footballs and Dice. You can buy only the game board alone and 3D print your own Game Pieces to save money.
Chess-Style Player Pieces
RED WHITE AND BLUE
The chess-style Player Pieces come in RED, WHITE and BLUE colors. There are chess-style Football Player Pieces and checker-style pieces. The chess style player pieces look more like football players . You can color in the facemask as shown, and you can customize the white set to be the color of your favorite college and pro-football teams. It is recommended to learn how to play using the checker style pieces because they are easier to move. There are 2 types of player pieces, Linemen and Backs
The Yard Markers
6 Yard Markers
There are 3 red and 3 blue yard markers to keep track of the LOS, the score and the downs. They slide up and down the side of the game board.
GRID-FOOTBALL BASIC
Checker-Style Game Pieces
"Grid-Football Basic" includes RED and BLUE checker-style Player Pieces, Footballs and Dice. These are all the game pieces required to start playing the game.

There are checker and chess style Football Player Pieces. The chess style player pieces look more like football players but it is recommended to learn how to play using the checker style pieces because they are easier to move.
Chess-style player pieces can be added later or as part of "GRID-Football Deluxe" which includes all red, white and blue Player Pieces and Dice Shakers.
The checker-style Football Player Pieces come packaged in RED and BLUE as part of "Grid-Football Basic" which includes the Game Board, Checker-Style Player Pieces and Game Pieces.

The game board consists of 3 areas:

Scoreboard - Team Scores
The yard markers are placed along the sides of the game board. They slide up and down tracking the LOS, number of the down, HOME and VISITOR scores.
FOOTBALL-CHESS (iPhone App Display)
Cell App and Pro Board Game
This is the display screen for the Phone app version of the game
The 9x12 grid layout is also used for the chess-style game board.
It is just slightly longer than a standard chess game.
It is called Football-Chess
Play others or against the AI
Game play is the same as standard football
Teams take turns moving Players
You play football similar to the way you play Chess
by moving football player pieces into position
It may replace chess as the world's #1 board game.
It is played with 3-to-5 Linemen and up to 6 Backs
Play Level defines the number of players and rule options.
Each team has a turn at offense to score yards or a touchdown
This grid plays similar to a 4th down and 2 play on a larger field
It is the most challenging field grid because of the limited
real estate and combination of football player types.
Beginner play level is designed so anyone can play
College level adds additional rule restrictions and challenges
The Pro-football play level is as challenging as Chess or Go !
Receivers and Safeties (R/S) are advanced players
Only the Pro-level includes Receivers and Safeties (R/S)
Three dice are rolled when R/S Players are used
They move horizontal, vertical, or diagonal,
but they can only move in a straight line
They move quickly like a queen in chess,
like both, a Bishop and a Rook.
They can move up to 4 straight forward
and move 3 in all other directions:
3 diagonally forward
3 to the left or right,
3 diagonally back,
and 3 backwards
Scoreboard includes Downs and Team Scores
All play levels can be played with 4 or more downs
Beginner and college levels can replay a down
when moving the LOS
Standard Football Setup
Play Levels:
This game is very easy to setup and begin to play at the beginner play level. Most players prefer the college football play level. Pro-Football rules are preferred by knowledgeable football fans, experienced football players, coaches, quarterbacks. Chess masters and Dungeons & Dragon enthusiasts will want to play at the Pro level also.

Pro-Football rules can be difficult as chess
There is a fair amount of strategy and some luck involved when playing by beginner (amateur) rules. When using college-football rules more strategy and thought is required. The pro-level of play requires serious strategy, focused thought and virtually no luck at all. It can be more difficult than chess in some cases. A good pro-level player is someone who understands football strategy very well, like a coach. Chess masters also excel at the Pro-level.
